VMware Product Selector – Worldwide in iQuote

Easier VMware configurations for all.

VmwareEarlier this year we announced the availability of a VMware Product Selector within iQuote EMEA. After some good utilisation we are now pleased to announce that this service is available Worldwide for all iQuote users.

The VMware Product Selector can be found in iQuote for Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). Once configuring a product, users can go to ‘View All’ in the options tab and select ‘VMware’. Upon doing so, the Product Selector will appear.

The Product Selector works as an intelligent filter working only with compatible, validated options for the system unit the user is configuring. The filter is split as follows:

  • Category
  • Product Range
  • Service Duration
  • License Type

There has never been an easier way to configure HPE Solutions with VMware. Login to iQuote today and click ‘View All’ to see how this simple and efficient feature can help you win more deals!

New Smart Buy Option Icons in iQuote US

Locate Smart Buy Options easily in iQuote. We are rolling out a new feature for our US users. It’s a visual aid in iQuote that appears against Smart Buy (promotional) options as follows:

Over the next couple of days we’ll ensure we have every Smart Buy option covered. Hopefully a major timesaver that also helps iQuote users to get to the best possible price for their customers.

iQuote’s Source for Options

Where does channelcentral.net locate the Options for all of the Systems? When talking to customers for the first time, this is one of their most common questions. Our starting point is the HP Compatibility Matrix that HP makes available through Smart Portal. However, we often add parts that we locate in Product Bulletin, plus there are a number of options that apply globally that HP doesn’t list in the Compatibility Matrix (cables, software, software support for example) so we add those. Lastly, our customers help us to keep options accurate through feedback (in the case of Options Search, automatically).

So from multiple sources our iQuote logic filters the options based on the specific system unit. In total the number of options in the Compatibility Matrix will be around 150 – once in iQuote it’s roughly TEN times this number.
