HP iQuote Storage Product Introductions

February 25, 2013

After an extremely busy HP GPC event it is time to catch up on the additions we have made to HP iQuote Storage. We are happy to let you know that members of the HP StoreEasy, StoreOnce and StoreVirtual families are available in iQuote. A brief overview of each:

HP StoreOnce Backup systems reduce the amount of backup data you need to store by up to 95%, so with HP’s scale-out architecture you can pay-as-you-grow to retain up to 10 petabytes of data in a single pool. They provide automated backup and DR operations with all the features you’d expect from dedicated disk backup, and some you can only get from HP.

StoreEasyHP StoreEasy 1000 Storage is a new breed of efficient, secure, and highly available storage to simply address the file and application storage challenges of small to medium business, branch office, and workgroup environments. StoreEasy 1000 Storage, built on industry leading ProLiant DNA and Microsoft Windows Storage Server, integrates easily into new and existing environments with a straightforward, consistent management experience for IT generalists.

HP StoreVirtual Storage provides a virtualized pool of storage resources to deliver enterprise SAN functionality that enhances virtual environments, simplifies management, and reduces costs. Easy to deploy, grow and maintain, HP StoreVirtual Storage ensures that critical business data remain available. The innovative approach to storage provides a unique data protection level across the entire array, reducing vulnerability without driving up costs the way traditional SANs can.

HP iQuote v1.9: Tape Drive Controller Auto Add

April 4, 2012

P212 JPGWhen adding SAS Tape Drives to a ProLiant server configuration HP iQuote auto adds a P212/Zero PCI SAS Controller. The rule is one SAS Tape Drive per P212 Controller so if you increment the Tape Drive the P212 quantity is also incremented. As with all of our Auto Add functions the P212 can be removed from the Cart/Basket by the user.

This new feature ensures that the configuration has a dedicated SAS Controller for each Tape Drive. It also helps to drive HP Options Attach Rate for those who have a focus on revenue and margin.

iQuote and HP Storage Branding

June 29, 2011

iQuote has transitioned from HP StorageWorks to HP Storage. On June 6 the HP “master brand” has been adopted for HP Storage products. HP has removed the presence of StorageWorks from all of its existing materials. HP Storage is now the new division name, and the new portfolio descriptor is HP Storage. So within iQuote the name HP StorageWorks has been replaced with HP Storage.

According to HP
“This transformation comes as a result of a number of storage technologies brought together by HP – StorageWorks, LeftHand, IBRIX, 3PAR and HP Labs – by combining storage, server and networking innovations, HP is able to remove the use of the StorageWorks sub-brand and create one unified brand which will include all of these.”

HP Storage Advertising Campaign

June 29, 2011

Look out for a series of advertisements in iQuote to help drive your HP Storage Number UP. Live now: a Tape Drive attach advert (see below).

Simply quoting a Backup Device can increase your deal size and margin. These Banner Adverts are in place to provide you with a memory prompt but also with this advert click it to show compatible options within a quote. Simple.

We’ll be adding new HP Storage adverts in July around the presence of HP Storage systems in iQuote and how EASY they are to quote, but also how P4000 can add value to VMware implementations.

HP StorageWorks and iQuote

May 23, 2011

iQuote is not just for PCs and Servers. If you haven’t already used iQuote for HP StorageWorks please have a look. Many quotes already include StorageWorks products as options for Servers but there is an entire range of HP StorageWorks systems that can be quoted from iQuote.

Generally Distribution and Reseller Sales are more comfortable quoting HP ProLiant for example, however, iQuote makes quoting storage solutions from HP really easy. We are introducing a change to iQuote for HP StorageWorks that allows the user to stack multiple storage chassis into a single solution. It is incredibly easy to do and will allow a much higher percentage of configurations to be handled by iQuote.

Look out for more announcements around HP StorageWorks in H2 2011.
