It’s all change.
In light of the company separation on 1st November 2015, iQuote is going to look a little bit different next week! Users of the iQuote Configure, Price, Quote Software will already be prepared for the separation with different login screens for both organisations. Until now however, the look and feel of the tool has remained largely unchanged.
With the launch of the Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) branding, iQuote for HPE Users will undergo a refresh. Users can expect to see the new logo and brand elements used throughout the tool.
It is important to note that there is no change to functionality or user login credentials. Users can expect to continue using the tool at the same excellent level of service they have been used to.
As we embrace this change, as we hope our customers do also, we look forward to a very bright future with continuous development to the iQuote tool for both HP Inc. and Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

New Feature.
As a key HP Partner, VMware products have been available in iQuote for some time. In fact, there are several hundred VMware products to choose from in iQuote to help create the perfect solution.
It was identified that there are actually so many VMware products that it was proving difficult for users of the iQuote tool to know which selection to make. As such, HP, VMware and channelcentral have been working together to develop the VMware Selector.
The VMware Selector is a tool developed within iQuote which takes only compatible options with your HP system unit and displays them in categories. Users can then choose options to fit their requirements such as Product Range, Service Duration and Licence Type. iQuote will intelligently filter through hundreds of products and provide recommendations to the user making product selection simple.

The 1950 Switch Series is available for quoting in iQuote and an ideal solution for small businesses needing advanced high-performance connections. The series has 2 standard and 2 PoE+ models, 24- and 48-GbE ports, each with 2 10GBASE-T and 2 10G SFP+ high-bandwidth ports.
True stacking of as many as 4 devices allows them to be logically administered as a single entity. The switches support Layer 3 static routing on IPv4 and IPv6. Helping you Choose!
Our iCreate tool just got even better! The iCreate service is developed for Westcoast Distribution UK and is a Configure/ Price/ Quote tool for their HP Product Portfolio.
channelcentral have just released a new feature in the tool to help users create their perfect solution. The feature is called ‘Help Me Choose’. Once the user is logged into the tool they can select this new feature at any level from as early on as selecting the system type or product family through to individual models. Upon clicking ‘Help me Choose’ users will be presented with a number of criteria to select from. These options will act as a filter so that the user is then given the products that fit the criteria required. Not only will it significantly reduce the amount of time it takes to configure HP Solutions but it also enables less experienced sales staff to tackle complex customer requirements, freeing up your technical teams to support customers.

iCreate is a Configure/Price/Quote tool that channelcentral.net has developed exclusively for Westcoast Distribution UK. Its popularity has grown and grown and as a result, we are pleased to be introducing iCreate 2.0!
The tool is developed for Westcoast customers to configure HP products. The portfolio has recently been extended from just HP Workstations to now include Desktops, Notebooks, Tablets and Thin Clients. What’s more, the validation feature has been significantly developed to include alerts throughout a configuration – users are guided and given prompts to ensure compatibility.

The SmallBizWindows Rackmount Server of the Year 2015.
The award was given to the HP ProLiant as a result of exciting features and a very good price! The dual-CPU-capable Proliant DL180 comes with the latest generation of Intel Xeon processors, offering users up to 12 cores and 16 DIMM slots supporting DDR4 SmartMemory. It can accommodate up to 12 LFF (large form factor) or up to 16 SFF (small small factor) hard drives. A pair of 1GBE ports are standard, 10GbE adapters are available. A SmartArray controller is also standard.
Several enhancements were also made to overall performance, support and manageability and as a result, it has beaten the bigger DL380 to win Server of the Year!

HP Enterprise SSDs are available in four categories based on their endurance: performance, mainstream, light, and value. The Drive Writes Per Day (DWPD) that you can expect from the drive determine which you should pick. To keep it simple, take the SSD drive capacity and estimate the times that, that drive capacity will be re-written every day and then round this up to match one of the following:
25 = Performance
10 = Mainstream
1-3 =Light
