HP iQuote Support for Bundles

Selling combinations of products that attract a discount is no problem for HP iQuote.

Discount

One of the most challenging areas for the Channel is to handle Bundles (or Conditional Rebates). Bundles defined as a discount applied to an approved combination of 2 or more items. HP iQuote can manage these on your behalf from a Sales Tool perspective.

If the discount is simply a reduction to standard price with no conditions then we expect our Hosts to lower the price to us in the feed for that part number.

The way HP iQuote works with Bundles:

  1. It identifies qualifying System Units and highlights them in the Menu.
  2. It also identifies qualifying Options, Accessories and Services and highlights them too.
  3. When added to the HP iQuote Shopping Cart/Basket it displays a discount line provided that the rules of the Bundle are met (minimum or maximum quantity, mandatory option type etc.).
  4. On export/purchase it shows the discount at line level to allow Distributors and Resellers to load orders.
  5. It also includes the Bid Reference (for HP that’s OPG/Deal ID) in the export.

UK HP iQuote Users: Avalanche Improvement

Now the Export document provides a break-down of the discount calculations. We had some feedback from Distribution that to process Avalanche orders they must know the discount applied against each part number. So we’ve added that to the Excel Export document.

The plan is to extend this so that the discounts are viewable on screen plus the user is prompted to make the 5 and 10 qualifying option thresholds.

UK/IE Users: Avalanche Options Live

New HP Top Value “Book Pricing” is now live. At the start of April HP introduced Avalanche Options into Top Value and this is now available in iQuote. The way Avalanche works is that the more options you add the more you save. Avalanche qualifying options are highlighted in iQuote so you can select them easily and then they are displayed in the basket with a red star so you can flex up to get more discount.

The rebate is calculated as soon as you reach the entry threshold and then that is dynamic increased as you add more qualifying options. If you have any feedback on this new iQuote feature please use the Feedback Form in iQuote. We believe Avalanche Options is a brilliant solution to offering customers flexible bundle pricing.

Note: HP Max Qty has been removed from iQuote. Any saved quotes that are re-opened will revert to Avalanche Options pricing.
