HP iQuote Support for Bundles

January 24, 2013

Selling combinations of products that attract a discount is no problem for HP iQuote.

Discount

One of the most challenging areas for the Channel is to handle Bundles (or Conditional Rebates). Bundles defined as a discount applied to an approved combination of 2 or more items. HP iQuote can manage these on your behalf from a Sales Tool perspective.

If the discount is simply a reduction to standard price with no conditions then we expect our Hosts to lower the price to us in the feed for that part number.

The way HP iQuote works with Bundles:

  1. It identifies qualifying System Units and highlights them in the Menu.
  2. It also identifies qualifying Options, Accessories and Services and highlights them too.
  3. When added to the HP iQuote Shopping Cart/Basket it displays a discount line provided that the rules of the Bundle are met (minimum or maximum quantity, mandatory option type etc.).
  4. On export/purchase it shows the discount at line level to allow Distributors and Resellers to load orders.
  5. It also includes the Bid Reference (for HP that’s OPG/Deal ID) in the export.

If you have HP iQuote and need to enable Bundles please contact us via the Feedback Form within the HP iQuote application.

Great IT Pro Review on HP ProLiant DL560 Gen8

January 21, 2013

How does the HP ProLiant DL560 Gen8 get on when equipped with new Low Power Intel Processors? Very well here’s the verdict from IT Pro:

“It’s been a long wait but HP’s first E5-4600 Xeon server delivers a well designed platform for running business critical apps and heavy duty virtualisations. Internal storage capacity is low but its design leaves plenty of room for expansion, it represents good value and it’s a lot easier on the power supply than a Xeon E7 system.”

SmartQuote Ready XML Export in HP iQuote

January 15, 2013

A new Export option is now available in HP iQuote. This should be really popular with our Reseller users who apply for Bid Pricing from HP. Simply choose XML – HP SmartQuote and you can download a zipped XML file. Unzip to upload as part of your HP SmartQuote request. Huge timesaver. As always any “red” configuration errors result in Export functions disabled.
