Copy to Clipboard in iQuote

July 20, 2011

The Copy to Clipboard function has been extended to iQuote Europe following a successful US pilot. This functions allows Microsoft Internet Explorer iQuote Users to copy a Saved quote (part numbers and quantities) onto their clipboard. A Quote Save is required first, although a Save/Copy combo is planned.

Major Timesaver
The Copy to Clipboard function saves valuable time for many users who don’t want a fully formatted export document – they just want the parts and quantities as quickly as possible. Once you’ve clicked the Copy to Clipboard icon you can then paste into Excel, Word, Outlook or a range of business applications.

We would like to thank our US evaluators at Ingram Micro for their feedback on this function.

As an aside, if you get the Microsoft Internet Explorer “Allow Access” prompt everytime you click the icon, depending on your IS policies, you can configure the Browser to suppress this check. Tools, Internet Options, Security, Custom Level and then look for Scripting: “Allow Programatic Clipboard Access” and tick enable. For optimum security we would recommend that you add http://www.channelcentral.net to your “Trusted Sites”, then make the changes against that zone rather than your general Internet zone. Always check with your IS Department before changing Browser Settings!
