So what else is channelcentral.net working on in this area. We have two more important functions to release and they aim to address the relatively few configuration choices that users are making.

Forcing of Options
Sometimes the selection of an option prompts a requirement for another option. Like a bundle (that we already accommodate).  This is coming so that if a user adds an External Tape Drive it will also add the appropriate cable to the quotation.

Options that Change Option Selection
Some options, once installed, change the configuration rules for a system and options. Good examples include Hard Disk Drive Backplanes and PCI Expander Cards. This is also coming.

Once these two functions have been applied to iQuote the number of validated options shown will increase and the number (percentage) of configurations that iQuote cannot achieve will decrease.
